tān dṛṣṭvā bālakān devī putra-sneha-snuta-stanī pariṣvajyāṅkam āropya mūrdhny ajighrad abhīkṣṇaśaḥ

เมื่อเทวีเทวกีเห็นบุตรน้อยเหล่านั้น ความรักของมารดาพรั่งพรูจนมีน้ำนมไหลจากทรวงอก นางโอบกอดอุ้มขึ้นนั่งบนตัก และดมศีรษะของพวกเขาซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า
