These are the names the six children first had when they were sons of Marīci. The oldest, Smara, was called Kīrtimān when born again to Vasudeva, as recorded in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.1.57) :
This verse states that by Kṛṣṇa’s own prasāda (grace), beings can “again attain the auspicious destination” (sad-gati), emphasizing liberation as ultimately dependent on divine mercy.
Kṛṣṇa identifies specific individuals and declares their future deliverance, illustrating His personal oversight and the saving power of His compassion within the chapter’s broader teaching on devotion and divine grace.
Cultivate humility and bhakti—seek Kṛṣṇa’s prasāda through sincere devotion, prayer, and remembrance—recognizing that spiritual progress is sustained not only by effort but by grace.
