Kṛṣṇa Visits Indraprastha; Kuntī’s Remembrance; Kālindī and Further Marriages
śrī-kālindy uvāca ahaṁ devasya savitur duhitā patim icchatī viṣṇuṁ vareṇyaṁ vara-daṁ tapaḥ paramam āsthitaḥ
As Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī points out, Śrīmatī Kālindī correctly understood that Lord Viṣṇu, being the source of all benedictions, is the supreme husband and can thus fulfill all the desires of His wife.
This verse shows Kālindī undertaking supreme austerities with a focused desire to attain Viṣṇu, presenting tapasya as a concentrated, devotional means to reach the Lord.
She identifies her lineage—being Savitā’s daughter—to introduce herself while explaining her vow and intention of accepting Viṣṇu (Krishna) as her husband.
Keep a clear spiritual goal, practice steady discipline (regulated life, prayer, vows), and seek the Lord as the ultimate giver of fulfillment rather than temporary rewards.
