FAQs

This verse teaches that although souls wander due to karma, by the Lord’s will one can awaken loving attachment (rati) for Kṛṣṇa through auspicious conduct and charity, which support the rise of devotion.

In separation from Kṛṣṇa, the gopīs reflect on how living beings are carried by karma, yet true reunion with devotion depends on īśvara-icchā—Kṛṣṇa’s own will—so they pray for unwavering attraction to Him wherever they may be.

Accept life’s changes without losing faith, and actively cultivate bhakti by choosing uplifting actions—service, integrity, and charity—while praying that the Lord grant steady attraction to Kṛṣṇa in every circumstance.
