This verse states that after assigning roles and positions, the sons of Kaśyapa (devas and asuras) began churning the Ocean of Milk with the aim of obtaining amṛta (nectar).
They churned it to obtain amṛta—nectar associated with immortality—showing their intense endeavor for a supreme objective within the unfolding divine narrative.
Clear division of responsibilities and focused effort toward a higher goal can help even opposing parties work effectively—while remembering that ultimate success is guided by the Lord’s will.
