Atharva Veda 9.5.25: Kanda 9, Anuvaka 1, Sukta 5, Mantra 25

Sukta 5

पञ्च॑ रु॒क्मा पञ्च॒ नवा॑नि॒ वस्त्रा॒ पञ्चा॑स्मै धे॒नवः॑ काम॒दुघा॑ भवन्ति । यो॒३जं पञ्चौ॑दनं॒ दक्षि॑णाज्योतिषं॒ ददा॑ति

páñca rukmā́ páñca návāni vástrā páñcā́smai dhenávaḥ kāmá-dughā́ bhavanti | yó ’jáṃ pañcáudanaṃ dákṣiṇā-jyotiṣaṃ dádāti

Five golden ornaments, five new garments, and five milch-cows, wish-yielding, become his—whoso giveth the Goat with the Fivefold Porridge, made radiant with the priestly Fee.

เครื่องประดับทองห้าชิ้น ผ้าใหม่ห้าผืน และโคนมห้าตัว—ผู้ให้น้ำนมตามปรารถนา—ย่อมเป็นของเขา ผู้ใดถวาย ‘แพะ’ พร้อม ‘ข้าวต้มห้าส่วน’ (pañcaudana) อันสว่างไสวด้วยแสงแห่งทักษิณา (dakṣiṇā) คือค่าบูชาพราหมณ์
