एतत् ते देवः सविता वासो ददाति भर्तवे । तत् त्वं यमस्य राज्ये वसानस्तार्प्यंऽ चर

IAST Transliteration

etát te deváḥ savitā́ vā́so dadāti bhártave | tát tváṁ yámasya rā́jye vásānas tarpyáṁ cara ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

This vesture Savitar, the God, bestoweth unto thee for wearing. Wearing it, do thou in Yama’s kingdom move at ease, in due refreshment.

ผืนอาภรณ์นี้ เทพสวิตฤ (Savitar) ประทานแก่ท่าน เพื่อให้สวมใส่ เมื่อสวมแล้ว ขอท่านจงดำเนินไปโดยผาสุกในอาณาจักรของยมะ (Yama) ในความชุ่มชื่นอันควรแก่กาล
