Sukta 11

यदे॑न॒माह॒ व्रात्य॒ यथा॑ ते प्रि॒यं तथा॒स्त्विति॑ प्रि॒यमे॒व तेनाव॑ रुन्द्धे

IAST Transliteration

yád enam ā́ha vrā́tya yáthā te priyáṃ táthā́stv íti priyám evá ténā́va runddhe

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

When the Vrātya saith to him, ‘As is thy dear wish, so be it,’—by that (utterance) he verily secures for himself the very thing that is dear.

Translation

เมื่อวราตยะ (Vrātya) กล่าวแก่เขาว่า “ดังที่ท่านปรารถนาอันเป็นที่รัก ขอให้เป็นเช่นนั้นเถิด”—ด้วยถ้อยคำนั้นเอง เขาย่อมผูกยึดไว้แก่ตนซึ่งสิ่งอันเป็นที่รักแท้จริง
