अर्यमणं यजामहे सुबन्धुं पतिवेदनम्। उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनात् प्रेतो मुञ्चामि नामुतः

IAST Transliteration

aryamáṇám yajāmáhe subándhuṃ pativé́danam | urvā́rukam iva bándhanāt préto muñcāmi nā́mútaḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

We worship Aryaman, the kindly kinsman, the Finder of the Husband. Like a cucumber from its bond I loose thee, gone forth—loose thee from hence, not from yonder.

Translation

เราบูชาอริยมัน (Aryaman) ผู้เป็นญาติอันเมตตา ผู้ทรงทำให้ได้พบสามี. ดุจแตงกวา (urvāruka) หลุดจากพันธนาการ ฉันปลดท่าน—ผู้ได้ก้าวออกไปแล้ว; ปลดจากที่นี่ มิใช่จากที่โน้น.
