तं दूष्यगृहप्रतिद्वारि रात्राव् उपशयानमन्यत्र वा वसन्तं तीक्ष्णो हन्ता ब्रूयाद् हतोऽयं दायकामुकः इति ॥ कZ_०५.१.१० ॥
taṃ dūṣyagṛhapratidvāri rātrāv upaśayānam anyatra vā vasantaṃ tīkṣṇo hantā brūyād hato 'yaṃ dāyakāmukaḥ iti
While he sleeps at night at the door of the tainted man’s house—or while he is staying elsewhere—a sharp (ruthless) killer should slay him and declare, “This man has been killed as one greedy for an inheritance share.”
A private family-property motive (inheritance greed), not a state-directed operation.
