FAQs

It imparts Ayurvedic pathya-vidhi: a list of wholesome foods—aged grains, jangala meat-broth, and specific legumes and fruits—used for dietary regulation in treatment and recovery.

By cataloging practical Ayurvedic dietetics (therapeutic foods and ingredients), the text extends beyond mythology into applied health science, showing the Agni Purana’s broad, encyclopedic scope.

Following pathya (wholesome, regulated diet) supports purity, self-control, and bodily balance, which are traditionally viewed as aids to sattva, clarity in practice, and the maintenance of dharmic living.
