FAQs

It prescribes a victory-oriented homa: using the earlier-stated (pūrvahuta) mantras in the proper sequence, and emphasizes the efficacy of repeating a specific formula (“yamena dattam…”) through a very large count of oblations (koṭi-homa).

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical ritual manual dimension—detailing operational procedures (mantra selection, offering-counts, intended results like victory) alongside its many other domains (dharma, polity, medicine, arts).

By disciplined mantra-homa performed in prescribed measure, the practitioner seeks siddhi expressed as “vijaya” (victory), implying purification through fire-offerings and merit accrued through sustained, rule-bound ritual action.
