Related Themes: Agni Purana 92 (earlier steps: Agni-janana, Agni-pūjā, kuṇḍa-saṃskāra)
It gives procedural sequencing in Agni-ritual practice: after completing Agni’s kindling/establishment and worship exactly as earlier taught, the officiant proceeds—together with the yajamāna—to the designated snāna-maṇḍapa connected with the ritual stones.
It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s manual-like coverage of applied ritual logistics—who moves where, in what order, and with what ritual implements—preserving practical pūjā and purification protocols alongside its wider teachings on dharma, polity, and other sciences.
By insisting on performing the rites “as previously prescribed” and by moving to a purification space with the yajamāna, the verse underscores ritual correctness (vidhi) and shared participation, which are held to protect sanctity, remove impurity, and support the intended religious merit (puṇya) of the ceremony.
