इत्य् आदिमहापुराणे आग्नेये निर्वाणदीक्षायां प्रतिष्ठाकलाशोधनं नाम पञ्चाशीतितमो ऽध्यायः अथ षडशीतितमो ऽध्यायः विद्याविशोधनविधानं ईश्वर उवाच सन्धानमथ विद्यायाः प्राचीनकलया सह कुर्वीत पूर्ववत् कृत्वा तत्त्वं वर्णय तद्यथा

ity ādimahāpurāṇe āgneye nirvāṇadīkṣāyāṃ pratiṣṭhākalāśodhanaṃ nāma pañcāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha ṣaḍaśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ vidyāviśodhanavidhānaṃ īśvara uvāca sandhānamatha vidyāyāḥ prācīnakalayā saha kurvīta pūrvavat kṛtvā tattvaṃ varṇaya tadyathā

ดังนี้ ในอัคนีปุราณะ ภาคนิรวาณทีกษา บทที่แปดสิบห้า ชื่อว่า “การชำระหม้อกาลศะเพื่อพิธีประดิษฐาน” ได้สิ้นสุดลง บัดนี้เริ่มบทที่แปดสิบหก “วิธีการชำระวิทยา (มนตร์)” พระอิศวรตรัสว่า “ต่อไปจงทำสันธานแห่งวิทยาร่วมกับกะลาโบราณดังเดิม ครั้นทำแล้วจงพรรณนาตัตตวะของมันให้ถูกต้อง คือดังนี้”
