Concept: Mantra, mudrā, and prāṇa (recaka) coordinate to relocate and stabilize śakti; dīkṣā is granted under the deity’s jurisdiction (adhikāra) for mokṣa-oriented aspirants.
Application: Use as a liturgical template for consecration/initiatory rites: sequence of nyāsa → kumbha-āropaṇa → āhuti-sthāpana → devatā-āvāhana → dīkṣā-vākya.

It teaches a precise dīkṣā/pratiṣṭhā operation: using one’s mantra and Udbhava-mudrā with recaka (exhalation) to transfer and install a consecratory ‘bond/noose’ power (pratiṣṭhā-kalāpāśa) into a kumbha, seal it with three svāhā oblations, and then invoke and satisfy Viṣṇu before initiating the mumukṣu.
Beyond mythic narration, it preserves step-by-step liturgical technology—mantra-bīja usage, mudrā application, prāṇāyāma timing (recaka), kumbha-installation, and āvāhana/tarpaṇa—showing the Agni Purana’s coverage of practical temple and initiation manuals alongside broader Purāṇic subjects.
The rite ritually ‘unbinds’ and relocates obstructive or binding forces into a controlled vessel, establishes divine presence through oblations, and places the initiation under Viṣṇu’s authority—framing dīkṣā as a purificatory, protective act aimed at qualifying the aspirant for liberation-oriented practice.
