Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Tantra","practical_application":"Agneya homa protocol: use enclosing/protective formulas (saṃvara) and vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ exclamations in offerings, applied across sarvakāmya and nourishment/increase rites (āpyāyana etc.).","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Havana with saṃvara and vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ across sarvakāmya and āpyāyana rites","lookup_keywords":["havana","saṃvara mantra","vaṣaṭ","vauṣaṭ","āpyāyana"],"quick_summary":"Perform fire-offerings using protective enclosing formulas and mantras marked by vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ; this protocol is to be applied broadly, including sarvakāmya and rites aimed at nourishment and increase (āpyāyana)."}
Concept: Ritual efficacy is maintained by ‘enclosure’ (saṃvara)—a protective boundary of mantra—while vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ function as offering-commitment markers in the fire.
Application: In any homa aimed at general fulfillment or nourishment, keep the saṃvara sequence intact and use correct vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ endings to ‘deliver’ the oblation properly.
Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Homa-vidhi (Agneya-vidya: Vedic fire-ritual procedure)

Related Themes: Agni Purāṇa 83 (homa rules; vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ; saṃvara)
It specifies the correct mantra-endings (vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ) and the use of saṃvara (protective/enclosing ritual formulas) when performing havana, especially in Sarvakāmya-type and āpyāyana-type rites.
It preserves procedural micro-details of Vedic/Tantric-leaning ritual praxis—how mantras are to be framed and applied across multiple rite-types—showing the text’s practical, manual-like coverage of religious technology.
Correct vaṣaṭ/vauṣaṭ usage and proper ritual ‘enclosure’ are taught as safeguards ensuring the oblation reaches its intended deity/goal, supporting efficacy (siddhi), purity, and the merit (puṇya) of the rite.
