FAQs

It prescribes a homa-detail: after worshipping and propitiating a paired deity-form, one should perform an āhuti-pañcaka—five specific oblations—explicitly intended to secure the deity’s sannidhi (ritual presence).

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s manual-like coverage of practical ritual technology—stepwise worship, propitiation, and quantified offerings—alongside its broader teachings on dharma, polity, medicine, and arts.

The verse links inner devotion (hṛdayātmanā) with correct ritual action (five oblations), implying that sincere intent plus precise homa-offerings sustains divine presence and yields purification and merit through properly completed worship.
