FAQs

It teaches a concise mantra-prayoga: how to prepare and apply a triad involving honey and ghee in connection with the stokapāla items, and how to consecrate ācamana-water using a heart-mantra that ends with “namaḥ”.

It preserves operational ritual details (implements, substances, and mantra-application) rather than only theology—showing the Agni Purana’s practical coverage of temple/household liturgy alongside broader subjects.

Consecrating ācamana-water and offerings with the hṛd-mantra is presented as a purification act, aligning the practitioner’s body and intention with mantra-sanctity to make subsequent worship ritually valid and spiritually meritorious.
