Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Stotra","practical_application":"Integrative pūjā method: unify japa and stotra as a single offering aligned to the deity’s injunction (ājñā-sūtra), ensuring coherence and completion of worship.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Unifying Japa and Stotra under Ājñā (Pūjā Integration)","lookup_keywords":["ekībhavatu","ājñā-sūtra","japa-nivedana","stotra-vidhāna","bhakti"],"quick_summary":"All components of worship are to be unified as one practice, ‘threaded’ on the deity’s command; offer japa to the deity and also perform stotra with devotion as part of the same integrated rite."}

Alamkara Type: Rūpaka (metaphor): ājñā as a ‘thread’ (sūtra) stringing practices

Concept: Ekāgratā and saṅgati: many acts become one sādhana when aligned to divine injunction; devotion (bhakti) is the binding force.

Application: Design a daily sequence: (1) saṅkalpa, (2) japa, (3) stotra, (4) offering/namaskāra—mentally ‘thread’ each step to the same intention and deity-command to avoid scattered practice.

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Mantra-japa and Stotra offering procedure)

Primary Rasa: Shanta

Secondary Rasa: Bhakti

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A ritual sequence is shown as a single garland-thread: beads (japa) and hymn-scroll (stotra) are strung together and offered at the deity’s feet, symbolizing unified worship under divine command.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, stylized thread (sūtra) running across the scene linking japa-mālā, flower offerings, and a hymn scroll, ending at the deity’s pedestal, devotee performing nivedana, bold flat colors.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, deity with gold arch, devotee offering a combined garland-and-scroll arrangement, prominent gold leaf on the ‘thread of command’, rich ornamentation and symmetry.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting, instructional diagram-like scene: steps of pūjā labeled, a visible thread connecting them to the deity, fine linework and gentle shading.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, atelier-like devotional setting with a poet-devotee reciting stotra while holding a rosary, a thin golden thread motif connecting objects to the shrine, detailed textiles and borders."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"instructional","suggested_raga":"Kalyani","pace":"medium","voice_tone":"instructional"}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It teaches the integrated worship sequence: unify one’s practice under divine injunction, formally offer the completed japa to the deity (japa-nivedana), and accompany it with a devotional stotra.

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s manual-like coverage of practical ritual procedure—codifying not only what to do (japa, stotra) but how to structure it as a coherent liturgical offering.

By dedicating japa and praise to the deity under divine command, the act becomes consecrated (less ego-driven), strengthening devotion and directing merit toward purification and divine grace.
