It teaches the procedural sequence for Sūrya-arcana: prepare a sanctified site, perform ācamana, complete the arrangement of ritual requisites, and offer arghya with the praṇava (Oṁ).
It preserves a compact, practice-oriented manual of pūjā-vidhi—detailing space purification, personal purification, and mantra-linked offerings—showing the text’s coverage of applied ritual technology alongside other disciplines.
By emphasizing purified space, ācamana, and Oṁ-linked arghya, the verse frames Sun-worship as a disciplined act of inner and outer purification, aimed at accruing merit and removing ritual impurity.
