Related Themes: Agni Purana 72 (internal Sandhyā, nyāsa, mantra and purification subsections)
It defines an internal (antar) Sandhyā: a formless contemplative practice focused on Śiva-realization, located in key subtle centers—heart, bindu, and brahma-randhra—rather than external offerings alone.
Beyond myth and worship, it preserves yogic–tantric technicalities (subtle anatomy like bindu and brahma-randhra) and reframes a common Vedic rite (Sandhyā) as an inner meditative discipline—showing the text’s wide coverage of ritual, philosophy, and yoga.
By directing Sandhyā toward formless supreme awareness and Śiva-bodha, the practice is presented as an inward purification and liberation-oriented discipline, shifting merit from mere external observance to transformative realization.
