Gaja-śānti: Elephant-Pacification Rite

मध्येषु डिण्डिमं प्रार्च्य गन्धमाल्यानुलेपनैः हुत्वा देयस्तु कलसो रसपूर्णो द्विजाय च

madhyeṣu ḍiṇḍimaṃ prārcya gandhamālyānulepanaiḥ hutvā deyastu kalaso rasapūrṇo dvijāya ca

ในส่วนกลาง พึงบูชากลองพิธี (ฑิณฑิมะ) ก่อน ด้วยเครื่องหอม พวงมาลัย และเครื่องลูบไล้ แล้วจึงทำโฮมะ จากนั้นพึงถวายหม้อพิธี (กะละศะ) ที่เต็มด้วยน้ำ/รสเครื่องบูชาแก่พราหมณ์ด้วย
