grāhyam iti ca deśa-kāla-vastu-pariccheda-rāhitya-cinmātra-svarūpaṃ grāhyam ||37||

‘Graspable’—that which is of the nature of pure consciousness alone, devoid of limitation by place, time, and object, is (truly) graspable.

Brahman/Ātman as pure consciousness (cinmātra) beyond deśa-kāla-vastu limitationsMahavakya: Supports the purport of identity-statements (e.g., ‘ahaṃ brahmāsmi’, ‘tat tvam asi’) by defining the ‘graspable’ as non-limited consciousness rather than an object.AtharvaChandas: Prose
