udyāpanavidhiścātra nṛbhirdvijapurassaram | agre caṃdrahareścandra sahasravratasaṃjñakaḥ

Translation

ఇక్కడ వ్రతోద్యాపన విధి కూడా ఉపదేశించబడింది; అది ప్రజలు బ్రాహ్మణులను ముందుగా ఉంచి చేయవలెను. మొదట చంద్రదేవుని ప్రీతికై ‘చంద్ర-సహస్ర వ్రతం’ అనే వ్రతాచరణ ఉంది.
