kena deva prakāreṇa toṣaṃ yāsyasi śaṃkara | martyānāṃ kena dānena tapasā niyamena vā

Translation

హే దేవా, హే శంకరా! ఏ విధంగా మీరు ప్రసన్నుడవుతారు? మానవుల ఏ దానంతో—ఏ తపస్సుతో లేదా ఏ నియమాచరణతో—మీరు తృప్తి చెందుతారు?
