न भुंक्ते पृथिवीपालो न राज्यं बहु मन्यते । न दारैर्विद्यते कार्यं नाश्वैर्न च गजै रथैः
na bhuṃkte pṛthivīpālo na rājyaṃ bahu manyate | na dārairvidyate kāryaṃ nāśvairna ca gajai rathaiḥ
భూపాలుడు భోజనం చేయలేదు; తన రాజ్యాన్నీ గొప్పగా భావించలేదు. భార్యలలో పనిలేదు, గుర్రాలు, ఏనుగులు, రథాలలోనూ ఆసక్తి లేదు.
