पितॄणामक्षया तृप्तिर्जायते द्विजसत्तमाः । अष्टम्यां च चतुर्द्दश्यां स्नात्वा चेन्द्रपदे नरः

Transliteration

pitṝṇāmakṣayā tṛptirjāyate dvijasattamāḥ | aṣṭamyāṃ ca caturddaśyāṃ snātvā cendrapade naraḥ

Translation

హే ద్విజశ్రేష్ఠులారా, అష్టమి మరియు చతుర్దశి నాడు అక్కడ స్నానము చేయుటవలన పితృదేవతలకు అక్షయ తృప్తి కలుగును; మనుడు ఇంద్రపదమును పొందును।
