Transliteration

yadā saṃsthāpito brahmā mārkaṃḍena mahātmanā | tadā vinirmitaṃ tatra kuṇḍaṃ śucijalānvitam

Translation

మహాత్ముడైన మార్కండేయుడు అక్కడ బ్రహ్మను స్థాపించినప్పుడు, ఆ స్థలంలో పవిత్ర జలములతో నిండిన ఒక కుండము నిర్మితమైంది।
