एवं तस्य व्रतस्थस्य जग्मुर्वर्षशतानि च । तत्र भीतास्ततो देवा ब्रह्मविष्णुपुरःसराः
evaṃ tasya vratasthasya jagmurvarṣaśatāni ca | tatra bhītāstato devā brahmaviṣṇupuraḥsarāḥ
ఇలా వ్రతస్థుడై ఉండగా అతనికి వందల సంవత్సరాలు గడిచెను. అప్పుడు బ్రహ్మా, విష్ణువుల నేతృత్వంలో దేవతలు ఆ తపస్సు వల్ల భయపడిరి.
