वृत्र उवाच । यावत्तिष्ठति सुत्रामा तावन्नास्ति सुखं मम । तस्मान्निष्कंटकार्थाय यतिष्येऽहं द्विजोत्तम
vṛtra uvāca | yāvattiṣṭhati sutrāmā tāvannāsti sukhaṃ mama | tasmānniṣkaṃṭakārthāya yatiṣye'haṃ dvijottama
వృత్రుడు అన్నాడు—సుత్రామా (ఇంద్రుడు) ఉన్నంతవరకు నాకు సుఖం లేదు. అందుచేత కంటకాలు (ప్రతిద్వంద్వులు) తొలగించుటకు నేను ప్రయత్నిస్తాను, ఓ ద్విజోత్తమా।
