पिता तस्य पुरा विप्रा जमदग्निर्निपातितः । क्षत्रियेण स्वधर्मस्थो विना दोषं द्विजोत्तमाः
pitā tasya purā viprā jamadagnirnipātitaḥ | kṣatriyeṇa svadharmastho vinā doṣaṃ dvijottamāḥ
పూర్వము, ఓ విప్రులారా, అతని తండ్రి జమదగ్ని ఒక క్షత్రియునిచే హతుడయ్యెను; ఆ శ్రేష్ఠ ద్విజుడు స్వధర్మస్థుడై నిర్దోషుడై యుండెను।
