yā tatra kanyakā bhadre snānaṃ bhaktyā kari ṣyati | tasmindine patiśreṣṭhaṃ lapsyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
ఓ భద్రే! అక్కడ భక్తితో స్నానం చేసే కన్య, ఆ రోజే ఉత్తమ భర్తను పొందుతుంది—ఇందులో సందేహం లేదు।
Sūta (deduced from adhyāya narrative context; explicit speaker appears at 62.88)
Type: ghat
Scene: A maiden at the sacred waters, modestly adorned, offering flowers and performing snāna with devotion; a subtle blessing motif suggesting imminent auspicious match.
Bhakti-yukta tīrtha-snāna is portrayed as bringing both spiritual merit and auspicious worldly फल (such as good marriage).
The same tīrtha in this chapter, later identified as Śarmiṣṭhātīrtha.
A maiden should bathe at the tīrtha with devotion (bhaktyā snānam).
