सूत उवाच । स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय वसिष्ठो मुनिसत्तमः । क्षालितांघ्रिः स्वयं तेन निविष्टो भोजनाय वै
sūta uvāca | sa tatheti pratijñāya vasiṣṭho munisattamaḥ | kṣālitāṃghriḥ svayaṃ tena niviṣṭo bhojanāya vai
సూతుడు పలికెను—‘తథాస్తు’ అని ప్రతిజ్ఞచేసి మునిశ్రేష్ఠుడు వశిష్ఠుడు అంగీకరించెను. రాజు స్వయంగా ఆయన పాదములు కడిగి, ఆపై ఆయన భోజనార్థం కూర్చుండెను.
