भरद्वाज उवाच । जीर्यंति जीर्यतः केशा दंता जीर्यंति जीर्यतः । चक्षुः श्रोत्रे तथा पुंसस्तृष्णैका तरुणायते
bharadvāja uvāca | jīryaṃti jīryataḥ keśā daṃtā jīryaṃti jīryataḥ | cakṣuḥ śrotre tathā puṃsastṛṣṇaikā taruṇāyate
భరద్వాజుడు అన్నాడు—మనిషి వృద్ధుడవుతుండగా జుట్టు జీర్ణమవుతుంది, పళ్ళు జీర్ణమవుతాయి; కన్ను, చెవి కూడా జీర్ణమవుతాయి, కానీ తృష్ణ ఒక్కటే ఎల్లప్పుడూ యౌవనంగా ఉంటుంది.
