Transliteration

yatra pūrvaṃ tapastaptaṃ viśvāmitreṇa dhīmatā | triśaṃkorbhūmipālasya kṛte tīrthe mahātmanā

Translation

ఇదే ఆ తీర్థం; పూర్వకాలంలో ధీమంతుడైన మహాత్ముడు విశ్వామిత్రుడు ఇక్కడ ఘోర తపస్సు చేసి, భూపాలుడు త్రిశంకు హితార్థం ఈ తీర్థాన్ని స్థాపించాడు.
