। ऋषय ऊचुः । चतुर्युगस्वरूपं तु माहात्म्यं चैव सूतज । प्रमाणं वद कार्त्स्न्येन परं कौतूहलं हि नः

Transliteration

| ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | caturyugasvarūpaṃ tu māhātmyaṃ caiva sūtaja | pramāṇaṃ vada kārtsnyena paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi naḥ

Translation

ఋషులు పలికిరి—హే సూతపుత్రా! చతుర్యుగాల స్వరూపమును, వాటి మహాత్మ్యమును యథార్థంగా వివరించుము. వాటి ప్రమాణమును సంపూర్ణంగా చెప్పుము; మా కుతూహలం అత్యంతం.
