न च त्याज्यं समुच्छिष्टं तेन भुंजामहे ततः । तदत्र कारणेनैव गुरुणा भाव्यमेव हि । येन त्वं यच्छसि प्राय एतत्सिद्धिर्भवेत्स्थिता
na ca tyājyaṃ samucchiṣṭaṃ tena bhuṃjāmahe tataḥ | tadatra kāraṇenaiva guruṇā bhāvyameva hi | yena tvaṃ yacchasi prāya etatsiddhirbhavetsthitā
ఇది ‘ఉచ్ఛిష్టం’ అని పారవేయవలసినది కాదు; అందుకే మేము దీనిని భుజిస్తాము. అయితే ఇక్కడ తప్పక ఏదో గంభీర కారణం ఉంది—నీవు తరచుగా దీనిని అర్పించుట వలన—ఈ అభిప్రేత కర్మ నిజంగా సిద్ధి పొందీ స్థిరమగునట్లు।
