अवध्यं संगरे पूर्वैः सर्वैदेवैः सवासवैः । स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय जगामादर्शनं हरः
avadhyaṃ saṃgare pūrvaiḥ sarvaidevaiḥ savāsavaiḥ | sa tatheti pratijñāya jagāmādarśanaṃ haraḥ
“పూర్వకాల సమస్త దేవతలచే, వాసవుడు (ఇంద్రుడు) సహా, యుద్ధంలో అవధ్యుడై ఉండేవాడు.” హరుడు “తథాస్తు” అని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేసి అదృశ్యమయ్యాడు.
