తర్వాత యజ్ఞోపవీతాన్ని అపసవ్యంగా ధరించి పితృల నిమిత్తం అభిమంత్రించాలి. తన శక్తి మేరకు మూడు బ్రాహ్మణులను—ప్రతి ఒక్కరిని విడివిడిగా—ఆహ్వానించాలి।
