विश्वामित्र उवाच । तस्य तं निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा शस्त्रमादाय निर्मलम् । चकर्ताथ भुजौ तस्य भ्राता भ्रातुश्च निर्घृणः । सोपि च्छिन्नकरो विप्रो व्यथयापि समन्वितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | tasya taṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā śastramādāya nirmalam | cakartātha bhujau tasya bhrātā bhrātuśca nirghṛṇaḥ | sopi cchinnakaro vipro vyathayāpi samanvitaḥ
విశ్వామిత్రుడు అన్నాడు—అతని దృఢనిశ్చయాన్ని తెలిసికొని, అతని సోదరుడు నిర్మలమైన శస్త్రాన్ని తీసుకొని, సోదరునిపట్ల కూడా నిర్దయుడై, అతని భుజాలను కోసివేశాడు; చేతులు తెగిన ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడు బాధతో నిండిపోయాడు।
