Transliteration

viśvāmitra uvāca | atra te kīrtayiṣyāmi pūrvavṛttakathāṃtaram | bhartṛyajena ye tyaktāḥ sarvenye brāhmaṇottamāḥ

Translation

విశ్వామిత్రుడు పలికెను—ఇక్కడ నీకు పూర్వవృత్తాంతంలోని మరో కథను కీర్తిస్తాను. భర్తృయజ్ఞమునందు త్యజింపబడినవారు, మిగిలినవారు బ్రాహ్మణోత్తములు.
