ऋषय ऊचुः । सूतपुत्र त्वया प्रोक्तं सावित्री नागता च यत् । कौटिल्येन समायुक्तैराहूता वचनैस्तथा । पुलस्त्येन पुनश्चैव प्रसक्ता गृहकर्मणि
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | sūtaputra tvayā proktaṃ sāvitrī nāgatā ca yat | kauṭilyena samāyuktairāhūtā vacanaistathā | pulastyena punaścaiva prasaktā gṛhakarmaṇi
ఋషులు పలికిరి— ఓ సూతపుత్రా! సావిత్రి రాలేదని నీవు చెప్పితివి. కౌటిల్యముతో కూడిన మధుర వచనములతో ఆమెను పిలిచినప్పటికీ, పులస్త్యుడు ఆమెను మళ్లీ గృహకర్మలలోనే నిమగ్నం చేసెను. నిజంగా జరిగినదంతా మాకు వివరించుము।
