विश्वामित्र उवाच । यदि तुष्टोऽसि मे देव यदि देयो वरो मम । ब्राह्मण्यं देहि मे देव नान्यदिष्टतमं महत्
viśvāmitra uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si me deva yadi deyo varo mama | brāhmaṇyaṃ dehi me deva nānyadiṣṭatamaṃ mahat
విశ్వామిత్రుడు పలికెను—హే దేవా! నాపై నీవు తుష్టుడవైతే, నాకు వరం ఇవ్వదలచితే, నాకు బ్రాహ్మణ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదించుము; దీనికన్నా ప్రియమూ మహత్తరమూ మరొకటి లేదు।
