पठिता सप्तमी या च पुरश्चरणसंज्ञिता । पुरश्चरणतः पापं विहितं तु यथा व्रजेत्
paṭhitā saptamī yā ca puraścaraṇasaṃjñitā | puraścaraṇataḥ pāpaṃ vihitaṃ tu yathā vrajet
‘పురశ్చరణ’ అని పిలువబడే ఆ సప్తమీ జపపూర్వకంగా పఠించబడుతుంది; ఆ పురశ్చరణ వల్ల శాస్త్రవిధి ప్రకారం చెప్పినట్లే పాపం తొలగిపోతుంది।
