मार्गशीर्षेऽथ संप्राप्ते तृतीयादिवसे सिते । तां देवीं पूजयामास वर्षं यावकृतक्षणा
mārgaśīrṣe'tha saṃprāpte tṛtīyādivase site | tāṃ devīṃ pūjayāmāsa varṣaṃ yāvakṛtakṣaṇā
అనంతరం మార్గశీర్ష మాసము వచ్చినప్పుడు, శుక్లపక్ష తృతీయ తిథినాడు, ఆమె ఆ దేవిని పూజించసాగి, వ్రతానికి నియమించిన కాలాలను పాటిస్తూ పూర్తి ఒక సంవత్సరం పాటు కొనసాగించింది।
