सूत उवाच । श्वेतद्वीपः समानीतो विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना । तत्क्षेत्रे कलिभीतेन यथा शौक्ल्यं न संत्यजेत्
sūta uvāca | śvetadvīpaḥ samānīto viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā | tatkṣetre kalibhītena yathā śauklyaṃ na saṃtyajet
సూతుడు పలికెను—సర్వశక్తిమంతుడైన విష్ణువు శ్వేతద్వీపాన్ని ఇక్కడికి తెచ్చెను; ఆ పుణ్యక్షేత్రంలో—కలిభయంతో—అది తన శ్వేతత్వం (శుద్ధి) విడువకుండుటకై।
