ततः शुश्राव तापस्यश्चतस्रोऽत्र सुनिःस्पृहाः । वल्कलाजिनधारिण्यो न तस्याः पार्श्वमागताः । न चान्या भूषिता दृष्ट्वा चक्रुरीर्ष्यां कथंचन

tataḥ śuśrāva tāpasyaścatasro'tra suniḥspṛhāḥ | valkalājinadhāriṇyo na tasyāḥ pārśvamāgatāḥ | na cānyā bhūṣitā dṛṣṭvā cakrurīrṣyāṃ kathaṃcana

అప్పుడు ఇక్కడ నాలుగు తపస్వినులు—సర్వథా నిరాసక్తులు, వల్కలములు మరియు అజినములు ధరించినవారు—ఆమె సమీపానికి రాలేదని వినబడింది. ఇతర స్త్రీలు కూడా అలంకృతురాలిని చూచినా ఏ విధంగానూ ఈర్ష్య పడలేదు।
