Resident brāhmaṇas (dvijāḥ) speaking among themselves (within Sūta’s narration; deduced)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The brāhmaṇas speak among themselves, gesturing toward the sanctum: ‘He became famed by Hara’s worship; we too will propitiate Hara.’ Their faces show a blend of determination and envy; the golden liṅga glows steadily, indifferent to human comparison.
Śiva’s grace is accessed through sincere worship; true distinction comes from ārādhana (devotional practice), not social comparison.
The narrative continues the glorification of the local liṅga-tīrtha in Adhyāya 107; the emphasis here is on Hara-worship as the source of the site’s fame.
Propitiation of Hara (Śiva) with the intent to gain spiritual standing—setting the stage for tapas, japa, homa, and related observances.
