वीरभद्रं यदा शक्रो हंतुकामस्त्वरान्वितः । तावच्छंक्रं गजस्थं हि पुरयामास मार्गणैः
vīrabhadraṃ yadā śakro haṃtukāmastvarānvitaḥ | tāvacchaṃkraṃ gajasthaṃ hi purayāmāsa mārgaṇaiḥ
శక్రుడైన ఇంద్రుడు వీరభద్రుని చంపాలనే తపనతో తొందరగా ముందుకు వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఆ క్షణమే వీరభద్రుడు గజారూఢుడైన ఇంద్రునిపై బాణవర్షం కురిపించాడు।
