दाक्षायण्या कृतं यच्च न दृष्टं किं त्वयानघ । त्वं चापि यज्ञे दक्षस्य अवदानार्थमागतः । अवदानं प्रयच्छामि तव चापि महाभूज
dākṣāyaṇyā kṛtaṃ yacca na dṛṣṭaṃ kiṃ tvayānagha | tvaṃ cāpi yajñe dakṣasya avadānārthamāgataḥ | avadānaṃ prayacchāmi tava cāpi mahābhūja
“హే అనఘా, దాక్షాయణి (సతీ) చేసినది నీవు చూడలేదా? నీవు కూడా దక్షుని యజ్ఞంలో నీ భాగం పొందుటకై వచ్చితివి. హే మహాభుజా, నీకూ నీ భాగాన్ని నేను ఇస్తున్నాను.”
